Minutes of the Library Specialist Chapter Meeting
February 17, 2004

1.   Read through By-Laws-Draft was approved.

2.   March 4th - Executive board will review the bylaws and vote on them.

3.   Michael Harper reports the Paul Weaver will set up a distributive web site: He needs school, phone, fax
      email, resident/cell phone optional.  Other ideas for website include booklists, suggestions for media
      specialists, and virtual tours.

4.  DFT will give the chapter a link or site on the website.

5.   Publicity - 1-2 articles a year should be submitted to the Detroit Teacher.  Topics can include MAME
      study, and positive contributions of Library Media Specialists.

6.   Media Specialists' In-service Meeting on Thursday March 4, 2004 8:30 am 3:30 pm. Karen Lemmons
      will be presenting on Coretta Scott King Award winning books.

7.   Next meeting date will be on March 16, 2004
