OUTSTANDING TEACHERS

 Congratulations to Connie Atkisson (MacDowell Elementary) and Kathryn Meloche (Clippert Academy), both members of the Detroit Federation of Teachers for each winning the Closing the Technology Gap in Education Award presented by the Chrysler Foundation. Congratulations also to Robert W. Thomas, also a DFT member, who just received the School Social Worker of the Year Award for Region D covering Detroit, Grosse Pointe, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and Highland Park, from the Michigan Association of School Social Workers.
